Pre-school Storytime

Storytime is held 3 times a year for 6 weeks.  Each branch tailors storytime to fit their circumstances and facilities, so please call.

Summer Reading

Each year the library holds a summer reading club for children of all ages. The program follows the national TD Summer Reading Club theme.  In the SCRL program, children are encouraged to read through the summer and keep a log of the number of minutes they have spent either reading independently, or with an adult.  Registration usually begins during the final week of June.  The Summer reading club winds up in mid-August.

Family Literacy Day

Each year in late January, in honour of Family Literacy Day, all branches of the library host an event.  This usually takes the form of a pyjama party.  Children come to the library in their pyjamas to enjoy stories read by guest readers.  A bedtime snack is provided.
